Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Director of Finance to oversee the nonprofit’s financial operations, budgeting, and reporting. The role directs accounting, budgeting, and compliance across programs, properties, and entities, ensuring strong financial stewardship.

The ideal candidate will lead financial strategy, manage audits, and supervise the finance team to support mission-driven programs and public resources management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred.
• CPA or CMA designation preferred and nonprofit/government experience advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior finance or accounting role, nonprofit-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Direct the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and tax returns.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to develop financial strategies across all units.
• Supervise the finance team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and revenue recognition.
• Coordinate annual audit with external auditors and the board's finance committee.
• Develop and implement financial policies to be followed across departments.
• Manage cash flow forecasting with executive leadership.
• Plan fiscal reports, tax returns, and statements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Implement purchasing strategies to meet budget goals.
• Develop strategies to maximize ROI and meet financial objectives.
