Job summary

Cedarstone is seeking a full-time Nonprofit Accountant to join our Financial Operations team. This hands-on role will manage GL maintenance, closings, AP/AR reconciliations, and produce timely financial packages for nonprofit clients, with board-level reporting. You will support audits and Form 990 filings while guiding client leadership.

The role offers 40 hours per week with remote, hybrid, or in-person options and involves day-to-day trust-building with nonprofit leaders.

Qualifications

• This role requires strong GAAP knowledge and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with advanced spreadsheets is essential.
• Sage Intacct experience is a big plus for the team.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger maintenance and monthly closings.
• Perform monthly/quarterly/annual closings and AP/AR reconciliations.
• Produce financial packages and board-level reporting.
• Support annual audits and Form 990 filings.
• Assist with client onboarding and provide financial guidance.
• Collaborate with nonprofit leadership to ensure compliance.
