Job summary

CommQuest Services, Inc. seeks a Full-time Controller to lead the Finance department, oversee the accounting function, and ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting for a nonprofit organization.

The Controller will supervise the accounting team, collaborate with program leaders, and strengthen internal controls to support audits and effective program implementation. Non-profit, healthcare, and grant experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA certification preferred.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience with supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of budgeting, computerized systems, financial reporting, accounting theory and practice, asset management, and supervision of accounting personnel.
• Experience with Sage Intacct preferred.
• Non-Profit, Healthcare, and Grant experience preferred.
• Experience with NextGen and/or other electronic health record systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and publish accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements in GAAP.
• Accounting Operations: Oversee accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll, general ledger maintenance, and month-end/year-end close processes.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Coordinate annual budget creation, monitor budget variances, analyze cash flow, and generate financial projections.
• Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and document business processes and internal controls to minimize financial risk and support internal/external audits.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the accounting team.
• All other duties as assigned.
