Job summary

The National Federation of the Blind is seeking an Affiliate Finance Bookkeeper to join the Fiscal Services team. This role requires attention to detail and functionality in nonprofit financial administration, supporting affiliates and divisions with QuickBooks and IRS/state filings.

You will assist the Affiliate Finance Specialist, coordinate with affiliate treasurers, and help ensure accurate financial reports and timely tax filings.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum of three to five years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping.
• Experience with QuickBooks.
• Ability to read financial reports and analyze books.

Responsibilities

• Support the President and Executive Director of Fiscal Services.
• Assist the Affiliate Finance Specialist.
• Support affiliate and division treasurers.
• Monitor QuickBooks transactions and provide feedback and training when necessary.
• Assist in completing annual tax filings.
• Coordinate state filings by tracking requirements and completing necessary reports.
• Monitor program email and track outstanding issues for follow-up.
• Provide QuickBooks training to new treasurers.
• Identify issues and recommend solutions.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
