Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking an Executive Director for the Harbor Light Center, responsible for overseeing all operations, programs, finances, and community relations. This role requires excellent management skills and experience in the nonprofit sector.

The ideal candidate will manage staff, handle financial responsibilities and represent the organization to various stakeholders. Applicants must hold a master's degree in social work or a related field and have at least five years of management experience.

Qualifications

• Management experience in the nonprofit sector at the agency director level required.
• First Aid and CPR certification required within the first fourteen days.
• Tuberculosis clearance required within the first seven days.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all programs and teams including supervision of all staff and leadership.
• Serve as the primary contact to all contract partners and licensing agencies.
• Prepare Annual budget for CFC approval.

Skills

Proficiency with electronic health record systems

Strong communication skills

Ability to work effectively on a multidisciplinary team

Education

Masters degree in social work or related field

Management experience in the nonprofit sector at agency director level (5 years)

CA driver’s license
