Music for All seeks a Controller to lead day-to-day accounting operations for Music for All, Inc. and Foundation, ensuring accurate records, timely reporting, and strong internal controls.

You will manage the close, audits, tax reporting, and collaborate to strengthen financial processes under the CFO. The role requires GAAP expertise, multi-entity knowledge, and a Bachelor’s in accounting with budget experience; CPA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires GAAP knowledge and solid financial reporting experience.
• Tax compliance and governmental reporting familiarity.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting, intercompany transactions, and consolidations.
• Proficient with computerized accounting systems and Microsoft 365.
• Strong Excel skills for reconciliations, analysis, and reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Budget management experience is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; related experience in accounting/finance.
• Ability to supervise accounting staff and manage deadlines with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations and supervise staff; establish GAAP-aligned procedures.
• Maintain books for Music for All, Inc. and Foundation, including intercompany reconciliations and consolidated reporting.
• Support CFO in policies, procedures, and system maintenance with external providers.
• Oversee general ledger integrity, reconciliations, payables, reimbursements, and payroll-related accounting.
• Ensure accounting for revenue, grants, deferred revenue, and donor-restricted funds; reconcile with programs and fundraising systems.
