Job summary

Bridging in Bloomington, MN is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead daily accounting and provide financial insight for decision-making. You will manage QuickBooks records, support month-end close, and partner with HR and Directors to strengthen controls and planning.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in a finance-related field and 10+ years of nonprofit experience, strong communication, and a track record of process improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting required with 10+ years in finance/accounting, nonprofit preferred.
• Strong ability to design, implement, and document business processes for organization-wide use.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate financial data for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting entries in QuickBooks (AP/AR, deposits, journal entries).
• Support monthly/annual close, reconcile accounts, and monitor budgets.
• Collaborate with HR, ED, and Directors to strengthen internal controls and provide actionable insights.
• Help plan migration from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online and improve processes.
