Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required; CPA preferred but not required.
• 7 years of nonprofit accounting and back-office experience required.
• Public accounting experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with accounting software and systems; QuickBooks preferred; strong Excel/Word/Outlook skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for budget administration and cash management.
• Coordinate financial planning, budgeting, procurements, or investments for the organization.
• Prepare financial information and statements; compile reports for regulatory agencies.
• Evaluate funding needs and investment of surpluses; provide recommendations.
• Monitor ratios and KPIs; supervise accounting staff and mentor team members.
• Advise management on short- and long-term financial objectives; prepare board materials as needed.
