Job summary

Park Heights Renaissance (PHR) in Baltimore, MD, seeks a Chief Financial Officer to serve as the financial and operational backbone of the nonprofit, aligning capital, systems, and governance to support program delivery and growth.

The CFO will lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, risk management, and compliance while partnering with the executive team to secure sustainable funding and scale the organization’s mission across the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (required).
• 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience (required).
• Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance (required).
• Experience building financial systems, controls, and operational processes (required).
• MBA/MPA or related advanced degree and nonprofit/public sector experience (preferred).
• Experience partnering with executive leadership teams (required).

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the organization.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Manage cash flow, reserves, and long-term financial sustainability.
• Provide financial insights and strategic analysis to executive leadership.
• Oversee procurement, vendor contracts, and external service relationships.
• Guide enterprise systems ownership, data governance, and IT infrastructure.
