The role focuses on financial health, strategic planning, and organizational growth within a nonprofit context. Ideal candidates have CPA or MBA, 8+ years in nonprofit finance, and a proven ability to manage budgeting, forecasting, and audits.

Qualifications

• CPA or MBA required with nonprofit finance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business admin.
• 8+ years in financial management, 5+ in leadership in nonprofit or small org.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and external audits.
• Ability to communicate complex financials to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy aligned to mission and growth.
• Partner with CEO and Board to set goals and plans.
• Provide financial insights and risk assessment to leadership.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to Board.
• Coordinate annual audit and tax filings with external auditors.
• Manage grants, fundraising finances, and internal controls.
• Directly supervise small finance team and staff development.
