Step Up in Santa Monica, CA is seeking an Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Specialist to manage monthly billing, assist with payables, and support overall accounting functions. The role emphasizes accuracy, timely processing, and strong collaboration with internal teams.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of AR/AP experience in a nonprofit setting, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Intacct or similar software.

Formación

• Good typing and data entry skills.

• Intacct or similar enterprise level accounting software a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, review, and process monthly program service grant and contract billings to ensure revenue cycle.
• Complete and track program member reimbursement claims.
• Verify payment summary vouchers for accuracy and compliance.
• Analyze denied claims and liaise with necessary parties to secure maximum reimbursement.
• Maintain documentation of submitted claims, payments, denials, and follow-up.
• Reconcile incoming daily cash receipts and maintain cash ledger.
• Prepare complex AR invoices under deadlines.
• Audit source documents including benefits records and timesheets.
• Support AP closing activities by identifying accrued liabilities and ensuring period matching.
• Provide documentation and analysis for audits.
