Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or equivalent experience.
• Three years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and GAAP basics.

Responsibilities

• Compose and prepare various reports for the finance department.
• Collect, receive, and accurately record funds from all revenue sources.
• Prepare and reconcile daily deposits and document payments.
• Update student receivable records for enrollments and payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and assist with monthly close activities.
• Prepare financial reports for leadership, boards, auditors, and departments.
• Maintain GAAP-compliant financial records and documentation.
• Communicate with students about outstanding balances and invoicing.
• Provide financial aid guidance and donor information handling.
• Ensure confidentiality of financial and donor data.
• Comply with internal controls and applicable regulations for nonprofits.
• Attend school events to oversee funds collection and reconciliation.
