Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen is seeking a Nonprofit Controller for our Client Accounting and Advisory Service (CAAS) to support nonprofit clients from our Orlando, Tampa, or SW Florida offices. You will lead budgeting, financial statements, and KPI monitoring, while guiding staff and advising executives.

The role requires 7 years in nonprofit accounting, a Bachelor's degree, and proficiency with Excel and QuickBooks. CPA is preferred but not required, with frequent local travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CPA preferred but not required.
• 7 years of nonprofit accounting/financial experience required; public accounting experience is a plus.
• Aptitude for maintaining knowledge of accounting software and systems; proficiency with Excel/Outlook/Word.

Responsibilities

• Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for budgeting, cash and credit management, and accounting.
• Coordinate financial planning, budgeting, procurements, or investment activities for all or part of an organization; prepare financial information.
• Prepare financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, budgets, or regulatory reports.
• Evaluate procurement of funds and investment of surpluses; make recommendations.
• Monitor KPIs and staff performance; implement actions as needed.
• Advise management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
• Communicate with boards, bankers, investors, and stakeholders; prepare for board presentations.
