Job summary

The Hawaii Pacific Section of the USTA is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to oversee financial recording, payroll, bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and year-end financial reporting. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in financial statements, manage audits, and support seamless accounting operations.

Qualifications

• Must reside in the Hawaii Pacific section.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience in bookkeeping, payroll administration, and general ledger reconciliation.
• Experience preparing workpapers and supporting year-end tax and audit processes.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Excel/Google Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Record deposits and pay invoices and disbursements in QuickBooks.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations for checking and investment accounts.
• Process payroll using GUSTO; twice per month during office visits.
• Produce monthly financial reports (balance sheet, P&L, check register).
• Assist with year-end workpapers, audits, and tax returns.
