Job summary

Project Harmony is seeking an experienced Accountant to join a mission-driven finance team responsible for month-end closes, grant tracking, and reporting. You will work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure accurate allocations, budgets, and projections while upholding nonprofit accounting standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and at least 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in nonprofit settings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or related field.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Non-profit accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries and cost allocations for posting to the general ledger.
  • Reconcile bank accounts monthly and perform related journal entries.
  • Process cash receipt and deposit transactions.
  • Support payroll and grant accounting processes.
  • Reconcile and prepare financial support for general ledger accounts and identify trends.
  • Assist in year-end audit with the Finance Manager and auditors.
  • Maintain adherence to non-profit accounting standards and updates.
