Job summary

Project Harmony, a leading child advocacy nonprofit, seeks an experienced Accountant to join the Finance Team. You will prepare accurate financial information, perform month-end closing, and support grant accounting, allocations, and budgets.

Collaboration with program leaders ensures compliance and transparent reporting. The role emphasizes financial integrity, timely reporting, and adherence to nonprofit standards while supporting organizational mission and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or related field is required.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience is required.
• Non-profit accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and cost allocations for posting to the general ledger.
• Reconcile bank accounts monthly and perform related journal entries.
• Process cash receipt and deposit transactions.
• Support payroll and grant accounting processes assigned.
• Reconcile and prepare financial support for general ledger accounts and identify trends.
