Managing over 10,000 patients every year, Cleveland Clinic has one of the largest, most comprehensive programs in the world for the evaluation, medical and surgical treatment of epilepsy in children and adults. Within the Epilepsy Department, you will be part of a family of caregivers committed to providing state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic technologies and surgical treatment options.

Schedule

A caregiver in this position works full‑time | 7:00PM – 7:00AM | 3‑12s per week | every other weekend and holiday.

Responsibilities

• Gather data using closed circuit audio/visual equipment and electrophysiological recording instruments.
• Utilize electrophysiological recording instruments using both surface recording electrodes and electrophysiological recording instruments.
• Perform record keeping data using the computer and maintain daily logs of patients' status.
• Use critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to work with minimal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics or related patient care field
• OR Two years direct patient care experience may substitute for the Associate's Degree requirement
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross certification
• One year experience as a non-registered EEG Technicin or First year completion of associate's degree in Electroneurodiagnostics may substitute for one year as a non-registered EEG Technician

Preferred Qualifications

• Technologist obtain the ABRET (American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists) credentialing for R. EEG T. (Registered EEG Technologist) within two years of hire into this position

Physical Requirements

• Ability to assist with positioning and transporting of patients, pushing beds, carts and wheelchairs.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Possible exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids.
• Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.

Personal Protective Equipment

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $20.77

Maximum hourly: $31.68

A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education.
