Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking a Non-Registered EEG Monitoring Technologist to monitor electrophysiological data on patients in a dynamic, technologically advanced environment.

You will work full-time nights (7:00pm–7:00am) and have opportunities for tuition reimbursement and growth as you enhance your EEG skills with Cleveland Clinic’s support.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics is required.
• ABRET (R. EEG T.) credentialing must be obtained within two years of hire.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• One year experience as a non-registered EEG Technician.
• Two years direct patient care experience may substitute for the Associate's Degree.

Responsibilities

• Gathers data using closed circuit audio/visual equipment as well as electrophysiological recording instruments.
• Uses electrophysiological recording instruments using both surface recording electrodes as well as electrophysiological recording instruments.
• Performs record keeping data using the computer, maintains daily logs of patients status.

As a Non-Registered EEG Monitoring Technologist, you will monitor electrophysiological data on patients. Caregivers in this role will work full time nights 7:00pm-7:00am.

A caregiver who excels in this role:

• Gathers data using closed circuit audio/visual equipment as well as electrophysiological recording instruments.
• Uses electrophysiological recording instruments using both surface recording electrodes as well as electrophysiological recording instruments.
• Performs record keeping data using the computer, maintains daily logs of patients status.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics or related patient care field.
• Two years direct patient care experience may substitute for the Associate's Degree requirement.
• Technologist must successfully obtain the ABRET (American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists) credentialing for R. EEG T. (Registered EEG Technologist) within two years of hire into this position.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association required.
• One year experience as a non-registered EEG Technician.
• First year completion of associate's degree in Electroneurodiagnostics may substitute for one year as a non-registered EEG Technician.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to assist with positioning and transporting of patients, pushing beds, carts and wheelchairs.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Possible exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids.
• Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $20.77

Maximum hourly: $31.68
