Job description
The Health Services Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing overall health services, ensuring compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards in the areas of health and dental health to support family well-being. Partnering with stakeholders and committees within the community to be a liaison, monitor, and oversee.
Exempt, salaried position with a family schedule in a nurturing, caring work environment. Head Start Community Program of Morris County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
- Conducts community outreach to develop partnerships and enhance resources for Head Start and Early Head Start families
- Overseeing the Health Advisory Committee and serving as a community health liaison.
- Provides support and direction to all staff related to health monitoring and overseeing health services
- Performs related duties as assigned to enhance health and well-being resources for families and staff
- Supervise assigned program staff.
- Provides first aid and on-site care to children in need of medical services.
- Conducts screenings and community outreach to develop collaborations that enhance health and well-being resources for Head Start families.
- Other Organization-Wide Sponsored Events/ Local Partnership Events

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree granted by a U.S. regionally accredited college or university, in Public Health, Health Sciences, Nursing, or related field.
- Supervisory experience and bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are strongly desirable.
- Knowledge of community health systems and excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certifications.
- Training/certification requirements to teach Infant/Child CPR and First Aid, or an ability to complete Certification/Train-the-trainer training within six months of hire, are required.
- Must pass criminal background and fingerprint checks, and physical exam with certification of fitness to work with young children, including Mantoux test.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
