Job summary

Stark State College is seeking four non-federal work-study Ambassadors to host events, guide tours, recruit students, and facilitate major college events. Ambassadors will liaise with college officials and may assist Admissions Office tasks during the year. Hours are varied with some evenings and weekends required; minimum 4 hours per week.

Compensation includes $11.00 per hour and a $250 scholarship awarded each Fall and Spring term while employed as an ambassador.

Qualifications

• Current Stark State College student who has completed at least one semester.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• Maintain a minimum of 12 credit hours during fall and spring terms.
• Flexible schedule with leadership and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as hosts, tour guides, and student recruiters on campus events.
• Act as liaison between Stark State College and the community.
• Assist Admissions Office tasks as needed based on term.

Job description

Stark State College is looking for four (4) non-federal work study student Ambassadors who will work with College officials and serve as hosts, tour guides, student recruiters and facilitators of major college events, and act as liaisons between the College and community. Ambassadors may also be asked to assist with Admissions Office tasks, depending on the time of the year.

Pay

Position pays $11.00 per hour in addition to a $250 scholarship awarded each Fall and Spring term that you are employed as an ambassador.

Office Hours

Monday through Thursday 8:00am -6:30pm
Friday 8:00am -4:30pm

General Work Hours

Hours vary, evening/weekend availability may be needed.

Minimum Hours

Minimum 4 hours per week

Requirements

• Applicants must be a current student who has completed at least one semester at Stark State College with a cumulative GPA of a 2.5 or higher,
• maintain a minimum of 12 credit hours during fall and spring terms,
• be available to work a flexible schedule,
• and demonstrate leadership qualities, strong communication skills, responsible decision-making, and be dependable.
