Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Manager on Duty to oversee the Non-Food Department and the total store when required. You will ensure efficient inventory, attractive merchandise presentation, and high standards of customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The role includes supervising cash handling, training associates, ensuring scheduling coverage, and maintaining store safety and security. Prior lead or grocery experience is preferred, with required local food handling certifications where

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two to three years of retail clerk experience preferred.
• Previous lead experience and/or grocery store experience preferred.
• Attainment of required local and state food handling certifications, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Non-Food Department and act as Manager on Duty when designated.
• Maintain cash integrity through cash handling, deposits, and bank transactions.
• Supervise store operations in Store Manager's and Assistant Manager's absence.
• Train employees in assigned areas and ensure proper stocking and presentation of Non-Food items.
• Ensure adherence to 7 Day Workflow Plan, pricing accuracy, and signage.
