Job summary

CarePlus New Jersey is seeking a dedicated driver to safely operate agency vehicles to transport clients to and from the Partial Care Program. The role is on-site with per-diem shifts, typically 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities include safe patient transport, adhering to the Transportation Manual, assisting clients entering/exiting vehicles, monitoring behavior during transport, and reporting any incidents to the Program Manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Valid driver’s license; must be insurable under agency policy.
• Good driving record; experience in mental healthcare desirable.
• CPR certified or eligible for CPR training.

Responsibilities

• Safely use agency vehicles to transport clients to medical, social service, and other appointments.
• Follow all vehicle safety and maintenance procedures per Transportation Manual.
• Assist clients entering/exiting vehicle and at agency/home, including wheelchair-bound individuals.
• Oversee clients during transport and report incidents to Program Manager or Director.
• Report client absences daily.
