Job summary

WelbeHealth is seeking Drivers to transport PACE participants safely, perform pre-trip inspections, and assist participants in and out of vehicles. You will communicate with dispatch, follow safety regulations, and maintain flexible schedules including evenings and weekends.

Compensation is per diem hourly, with a strong emphasis on patient dignity and on-time arrivals. WelbeHealth offers a 401(k) match and accrued sick leave, along with vaccination policy requirements for employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1 year of experience may substitute for education.
• Copy of recent vehicle insurance required.
• All drivers must hold a valid driver’s license and meet company driving qualifications; applicants must generally be at least 25 years old; ages 23–24 may be considered based on driving history.
• Availability to work a variable schedule is required; shift assignments may include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be comfortable using technology.
• Experience in non-emergency transportation or public transportation preferred.
• Participate in DMV pull notice and random testing; pass DOJ/FBI background check and DOT medical exam.
• Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 180 days of hire; CPR/First Aid certification upon hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to an assigned schedule transporting PACE participants; ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Follow all traffic and safety regulations while operating vehicles.
• Conduct comprehensive pre-inspections on assigned vehicles, including lift vans, ADA minibuses, and ambulatory vehicles.
• Assist participants getting in and out of vehicles, and transferring participants in and out of wheelchairs.
• Remain alert to input from teammates, participants, and caregivers; update Transportation Supervisor on any changes.
