Job summary

Oak Harbor Freight Lines is seeking BOX TRUCK DRIVERS for local pickup and delivery routes in the Northwest region. This role involves operating 24’, 26’, and 28’ bobtails with opportunities to train into Class A roles. Drivers work Monday through Friday with weekends off.

Qualifications include 21+ years old, valid DOT Medical Certification, and a clean driving record. Excellent customer communication required; reliable, safety-focused candidates will thrive in this team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Valid DOT Medical Certification.
• Clean driving record with no DUI or positive drug/alcohol screen in past 3 years.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers and dispatch.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate 24’, 26’, and 28’ bobtail trucks for pickups and deliveries.
• Adapt to weather and varying road conditions.
• Meet the company’s reliability standards.
• Ability to chain as needed and work in inclement weather.
• Availability to work weekends and/or nights if needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

This position involves driving 24’, 26’ and a 28’ bobtails to make pick up and deliveries at our customers locations. Oak Harbor Freight Lines offers and internal, get paid while training program for those interested in becoming a Class A Driver. The drivers work Monday – Friday with weekends off.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid DOT Medical Certification
• Must have a clean driving record. No DUI or positive drug/alcohol screen in the past 3 years
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers, and dispatch/managers

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate bobtail trucks of different sizes
• Adapting to challenging conditions like inclement weather and various road conditions
• Ability to meet the company’s reliability standards for employees
• Ability to chain as needed and to work in inclement weather as required
• Availability to work weekends and / or nights if needed
• Other duties as assigned

  • Single person pays up to 2% of gross income.
  • Entire family pays up to 4% of gross income.
