Taylor Root is recruiting a Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor to advise on high-value domestic and international projects within a leading construction & engineering practice. The role offers hybrid or fully remote UK-based working, with a 6-12 month FTC and flexibility to work four or five days per week.

You will join a market-leading team, handle sophisticated contracts, development agreements, and lead transactions with autonomy, while mentoring junior lawyers and developing client

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with ideally 6+ years' PQE.
• Strong non-contentious construction experience in a recognised practice.
• Excellent knowledge of standard form construction contracts and development documentation.
• Ability to manage complex matters independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Commercially minded with strong client relationship management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Advising on a broad range of non-contentious construction matters
• Drafting and negotiating contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC and MF/1)
• Advising on development agreements and project documentation
• Leading transactions and major projects with autonomy
• Delivering pragmatic, commercial advice to clients
• Managing and developing key client relationships
• Mentoring junior lawyers within the team
• Collaborating with colleagues across offices
