Job summary

The SR Group’s Taylor Root is seeking an experienced Legal Recruiter to join our U.S. team in New York. This 360-recruitment role focuses on developing client relationships, managing search assignments, and delivering top legal talent across the market.

You will own the full recruiting lifecycle, partnering with law firms, financial institutions, and corporate legal teams to build a successful desk within a high-performing global business.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of successful experience in agency recruitment, executive search, or talent acquisition.
• Experience recruiting within legal, financial services, compliance, risk, governance, or another professional services market.
• Demonstrated success in a 360-recruitment environment, including business development and candidate management.
• Strong relationship-building, networking, and consultative sales skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment process from business development through to placement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with law firms, corporate legal departments, financial institutions, and legal professionals.
• Win new assignments and grow existing client partnerships.
• Source, assess, and manage candidates through the interview and offer process.
• Recruit across a range of legal positions, including private practice, in-house counsel, compliance, risk, governance, and financial services legal roles.
• Provide clients and candidates with market insight, compensation guidance, and hiring advice.
• Deliver against revenue, activity, and placement goals.
• Contribute to the growth of the wider Taylor Root business through collaboration and market expertise.

We're looking for an experienced Legal Recruiter to join our U.S. team. This is a 360-recruitment role with responsibility for developing client relationships, managing search assignments, and delivering exceptional talent solutions across the legal market. Depending on your experience and expertise, you may focus on law firm and in-house legal recruitment, financial services legal recruitment, or a combination of both.
