Job summary

Non-Conforming Technician

Full-time | Quality Assurance | Location – Olathe, KS, 66022

The Non-conforming technician is a hands‑on position responsible for processing daily Non-conformance, noting all discrepancies in the QA database. Sorting N/C returns from TVH DC’s. Follow‑up with materials on all discrepancies, obtain return authorizations, and assist TVH materials dept. to ensure future compliance.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• 30%; Process daily nonconformance from Kansas warehouse. Performs detailed evaluation of product and accurately documents accordingly.
• 30%; Fields customer initiated claims concerning product quality in general. Evaluates said product to verify conformance in workmanship, construction, function and overall integrity as required by engineering specifications or OEM samples.
• 15%; Process daily defective returns from Kansas warehouse. Performs detailed evaluation of product and accurately documents accordingly. Suggests final disposition of product.
• 10%; Follows up non-conformances with the Materials group. Give detailed reasons with QA reports, obtain return authorizations, packing slips, inventory adjustments and final disposition of product.
• 10%; Disposition non-conformances from all TVH distribution centers using the same methods and tools as the Kansas warehouse.
• 5%; Follows up rejected defective returns through CRM with sales. Give detailed reasons, photos and options for return to the customer.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

You must be able to perform the essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation. This role requires frequent standing and walking, repetitive motion, and use of hands and arms for reaching, grasping, lifting, pushing, and pulling from floor to overhead. Regular bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching are required; occasional sitting, climbing, or balancing may occur.

You must be able to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds regularly, up to 40 pounds frequently, and over 50 pounds occasionally. Team lifting or material handling equipment is required for items over 50 pounds.

HOW TO SUCCEED

• Must possess some mechanical knowledge of forklift truck or automobile workings, excellent computer skills.
• English language required.
• A+, Access, Word, Excel and CRM skills.
• General understanding of part fit and function as related to product.
