Job summary

Job description

Associate Material Handler

Full-time | Logistics | Location - Olathe, KS, 66062 | Sign On Bonus: $1,500

1st shift: 9:00am-6:00pm (Monday-Friday)

2nd Shift: 1:00pm- 9:30pm (Monday- Friday)

3rd Shift: 9:00pm-7:30am (Monday - Thursday)

Responsibilities

Perform and complete basic material handling essential functions with a focus on understanding and meeting productivity and accuracy goals.

  • Read pick tickets and work orders and pick parts according to quantities listed on the pick ticket.
  • Visually identify parts in location per description and part number, place product in totes, place a label on totes for next destination.
  • Report insufficient quantities in location or equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to management.
  • Complete basic dunnage functions.
Physical Demands

You must be able to perform the essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation. This role requires frequent standing and walking, repetitive motion, and use of hands and arms for reaching, grasping, lifting, pushing, and pulling from floor to overhead. Regular bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching are required; occasional sitting, climbing, or balancing may occur. You must be able to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds regularly, up to 40 pounds frequently, and over 50 pounds occasionally. Team lifting or material handling equipment is required for items over 50 pounds.

Qualifications
  • The ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • 18+ years of age.
  • High School Diploma, GED or 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrate the ability to match part numbers.
  • Demonstrate the ability to enter data within systems.
  • Basic proficiency in navigating the Internet and/or computer systems to locate information.
