Role Overview:

The Non-Certified Technician inspects and services vehicles when they are delivered to the dealer and makes minor repairs or adjustments to place the vehicles in saleable condition.

Our technicians are paid based on an industry-leading wage grid that provides pay starting at $18/flag rate depending on experience, plus opportunities for overrides and longevity bonuses based on tenure and manufacturer certifications.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Sign an acceptance for each vehicle delivered
• Inspect vehicles for safety compliance and defects such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and mechanical issues
• Test vehicle systems including steering, brakes, transmission, and engine operation
• Activate and verify operation of power equipment like windows, seats, and lights
• Replace defective items using hand tools
• Install optional customer-specified equipment
• Perform minor mechanical repairs and adjustments
• Tune engines with appropriate test equipment

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6-12 months of relevant work experience
• Ability to read and understand instructions
• General mechanical skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
• Manual dexterity and safe operation of tools and machinery
• Ability to operate an automobile
