Job summary

Experience the mountain playground with Vail Resorts as a Winter Seasonal Ski Instructor. You will teach group and private lessons to guests of all ages, delivering world-class guest service in a safe, fun learning environment.

Starting wage is $20.00/hr. Employment type is Winter Seasonal 2026/2027 with part-time hours. Must be 18+, fluent in English, able to ski groomed blue terrain, and available weekends and holidays. Housing is not available.

Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

• Support all needs of the snow sports school: inclusive of scanning, running surface lifts, facilitating lunch, fitting equipment
• Provide guest feedback that inspires and creates lifelong skiers

Job Requirements

• Must be comfortable and competent skiing on groomed blue terrain
• Must be willing to work with guests of all ages and have a strong level of comfort with children aged 3 and older
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English
• Strong communication skills
• Must be willing to work weekends/Holidays
• Must be comfortable being in ski boots for extended period of time
• Placement as an instructor is contingent upon successfully completing training and meeting the minimum skill, guest service, and safety standards.

As a Non-Certified Ski Instructor, you have the ability to be a flexible employee who works across multiple departments and in various roles to support the one-resort mentality which could include:

• Lift Experience
• Mountain Activities
• Food and Beverage Support
• Base Area Operations
• Retail Rental Operations

The expected pay range is $20.00/hr.. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
