Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL seeks a patient-facing endoscopy support role at our Ambulatory Surgery Center in East Orlando. Eligible clinicians may earn salary increases up to 20% through the Clinical Ladder Program, based on experience and advancement criteria.

This role is in our Ambulatory Surgery Center located in the East Orlando location. This full-time daytime position requires BLS certification, ability to work in a team, and flexibility; the role includes preparing the endoscopy suite,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required; CNA preferred.
• Knowledge of gastroenterology practice issues is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Monitors endoscopy instruments and supplies.
• Follows high-level disinfection procedures and monitoring.
• Performs treatments and procedures under supervision.
• Provides supportive care to patients with RN/physician oversight.
• Prepares endoscopy room and equipment for procedures.
• Handles specimens accurately and competently.

Job Description

Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines. This role is in our Ambulatory Surgery Center located in our East Orlando location.

Schedule

Schedule: Monday- Friday - 6:30 am- 5 pm (flexibility is required)

Responsibilities

• Monitors levels of all endoscopy instruments and supplies.
• Follows written procedures for high-level disinfection and chemical and biological monitoring.
• Performs treatments and procedures within the defined scope of practice.
• Provides supportive care to patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and physician.
• Ensures the endoscopy suite is adequately prepared for procedures.
• Prepares the room in a timely manner with all anticipated supplies and equipment for each endoscopy procedure.
• Demonstrates competence in the care and accurate handling of specimens.
