Job summary

Charlie's Produce is seeking Class A drivers to deliver produce safely and efficiently to customers across the Portland Metro area, while home evenings. This role emphasizes on-time performance, accurate invoice handling, and excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• One (1) full year of verifiable driving experience operating a Class A vehicle for insurance purposes.
• Must be at least 23 years old for insurance purposes.
• Valid Class A CDL and medical card.
• Demonstrated ability to lift/push/pull 50+ lbs. throughout shift.
• Read and understand English per DOT rules.
• Satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Check invoices accurately as you deliver.
• Load and unload product from trailer with an electric pallet jack.
• Maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Provide superior customer service at each delivery.
• Assist in issuing credit memos and collecting COD payments.
• Promote a flexible, cooperative, team-oriented attitude with colleagues.
• Maintain safe, reliable equipment.
• Deliver palletized product to a dock or with a lift gate.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Insurance Requirements: To be eligible for this role, candidates must be at least 23 years of age and have at least one (1) full year of driving experience operatinga Class A vehicle for insurance purposes.

Bonus Eligibility: Must be hired between March 16th-September 30th as a Full-Time Class A Driver and meet other eligibility criteria.

Job Description

Schedule: Typical dispatch times are between 12 AM and 2 AM

The Role: You will be primarily responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of produce to customers throughout the Portland Metro area.

Essential Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

• Accurately check invoices as you make deliveries
• Load and unload product from trailer with electric pallet jack
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Perform superior customer service as you interact with customers at each delivery
• Assist in issuing credit memos and collecting payment for COD customers
• Promote and maintain a flexible, cooperative, team-oriented, and customer-focused attitude with colleagues
• Professionally maintained, reliable and safe equipment
• Palletized product is delivered to a dock or with a lift gate
• All other duties as requested or assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

• Candidates must have at least one (1) full year of verifiable experience operatinga Class A vehicle for insurance purposes

• Satisfactory driving record
