Job summary

Hire Up Staffing Services seeks a dependable delivery driver to operate a 26-ft automatic flatbed truck in the New York area. Schedule is Monday through Friday, starting around 5:00 AM and continuing until deliveries are completed.

Pay is $23 per hour, with safety and professional customer service requirements. You will load and unload electrical equipment weighing up to 60 lbs, verify deliveries, and follow route plans while maintaining logs and communicating with dispatch.

Qualifications

• Valid Non-CDL driver's license required.
• Minimum 2 years driving experience; 3-5 years preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old due to insurance requirements.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 26-ft automatic flatbed delivery truck.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $23/hour
• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Start Time: 5:00 AM - Until deliveries are completed
• Interview: Required
• Driving: Approximately 80% of the workday
• Vehicle: 26-ft automatic flatbed with liftgate
• Passengers: None

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 26-ft automatic flatbed delivery truck.
• Transport electrical equipment from the warehouse to assigned customer locations.
• Load and unload electrical equipment and materials.
• Safely handle materials weighing up to 60 lbs.
• Use a dolly, hand truck, pallet jack, or other equipment as needed.
• Pick up loads and organize goods in a safe and logical manner according to the assigned route.
• Verify deliveries and obtain customer signatures or warehouse scans when required.
• Follow predetermined delivery routes and ensure timely deliveries.
• Assist with mapping and planning efficient delivery routes.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery schedules, delays, or other issues.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service at each delivery.
• Perform vehicle inspections before and after each trip.
• Report maintenance issues or vehicle deficiencies to management.
• Keep the assigned vehicle clean and organized.
• Check weather and road conditions before departing.
• Maintain accurate driving and delivery logs.
• Track and report working hours.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Comply with applicable DOT regulations and traffic laws.
• Operate the vehicle safely based on weather and road conditions.
• Make safety a priority at all times.

Requirements
