Job summary

Halperns’ Steak & Seafood in South Plainfield, NJ is seeking a Non CDL Driver to join our delivery team. Starting pay is $24 per hour, with a full-time schedule and benefits. You will deliver Halperns’ products to customers on time, present a positive image, and ensure accuracy in every drop.

Ideal candidates are 21+ years old, hold a Class A or B CDL, can safely handle a 350-pound cart, and can pass a DOT drug test and background check. Veterans are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Class A or B CDL required.
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads up to 350 pounds.
• Pass a drug test and background check.
• Clean driving record as per DOT standards.
• Registered in DOT Clearinghouse and provide consent.

Responsibilities

Sun - Thurs Start time between 5am and 7am

Position Summary:

Presents a positive image to Halperns’ Steak and Seafood customers through courteous, on-time, and accurate deliveries of Halperns’ products. Operates Halperns’ equipment in a professional and safe manner demonstrating attention to detail and safe work habits.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• At least 21 years of age.
• Class A or B CDL License.
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds.
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check.
• Clean driving record, as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards.
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
