Job summary

Global Market Foods in Houston is seeking a full-time Class C route driver to operate a box truck and deliver to retail food establishments from Monday to Friday. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, operating a pallet jack and hand dolly, and maintaining safe driving records.

Responsibilities include loading and unloading, delivering quality products on time, and building strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• 12+ months commercial driving experience.
• Must be 25+ years of age.
• Class C (Non-CDL) driver's license.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Must be willing to drive to the Dallas area and stay overnight.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
• Able to meet physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload delivery vehicle.
• Deliver to retail/establishments in a safe, timely manner.
• Maintain good customer relations during routes.
• Safely operate assigned vehicles and follow traffic laws.
• Verify invoices and return requests for accuracy.
• Follow routes and time schedules.

Job Description

Global Market Foodsisseekinga full-time, Class C Route Driver to work Monday through FridayDay-Shiftdelivering to retail food establishments.Box-Truck–use2 wheeldolly.

Essential Role Functions

• Load, unload prepare,inspectandoperatea delivery vehicle
• Delivershigh-quality products to our customers in a safe, courteous, andtimelymanner.
• Establishes andmaintainsoutstanding relations with customers.
• Safelyoperateassigned vehicles, following all trafficlawand regulations.
• Reviews andverifiesinvoices and return requests to ensure accuracy.
• Determinesplacement of merchandise, follows safety and lifting protocols during deliveries
• Hand-lift andutilizetwo-wheeler, liftgateand other equipment to move and stack product cases/freight of various size and weight throughout shift
• Must be able tolift upto 50 pounds on a repetitive basis and push/pull 50-150 lbs. using2 wheeldolly.
• Follow routes and time schedule
• Collect payments on routes
• Inspects delivery vehicles and ensures the safety and security of the loading and unloading process.
• Performing basic truck maintenance, such asrefueling, doingvisualinspections,and reporting potential issues.
• Maintained cleanliness of vehicles after each use
• Complete driver route log with signatures from customers

Skills, Physical Requirements, and Working Conditions:

• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• lifting of product cases required (up to 50lbs)
• Stamina for work in a warehouseenvironment,sittinglong periodsof time
• Proven working experience as a delivery driver
• Ability tooperatepallet jack and use of hand dolly
• Good drivingrecord with no traffic violations
