Global Market Foods in Houston, TX is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Operator to accurately pick items based on customer orders and prepare them for shipment. You will retrieve products from designated locations, ensure proper handling, and support inventory accuracy.

As part of a dynamic team, you'll follow safety guidelines, use handheld devices, and coordinate with colleagues to meet daily fulfillment goals while maintaining quality standards and efficient operations.

Qualifications

Job Description:

Asan Operator, you will play a key role in the warehouse by accurately selecting and picking products based on customer orders.Your responsibilities include retrieving items from designated locations within the warehouse and preparing them for shipment.The role requires attention to detail,efficiency, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Essential Role Functions

Order Processing:

• Review and understand customer orders todeterminethe items and quantities to be picked
• Utilize order sheets and handheld devices (RF Gun) tolocateand confirm the location of products within the warehouse

Picking andPacking:

• Safely and efficiently retrieve products from shelves and racks, or other storage areas usingappropriateequipment
• Carefully stack cases on wooden pallets ensuring proper handling to preventdamageduring transit

Accuracy and Quality Control:

• Verify the accuracy of picked items by comparing them to order specifications
• Conduct visual inspections to ensure the quality and condition of products meet our company standards

SafetyCompliance:

• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries
• Operate equipment in a safe and responsible manner, following established procedures

Inventory Management:

• Keepaccuraterecords of picked items and report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors
• Assistin periodic physical inventory counts as needed
• Work collaboratively with warehouse team members, supervisors, and other departments to achieve overall organizational goals
• Additionaltasks as assigned

Work Experience Requirements/Qualificationsfor This Role

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Time Management and prioritization skills
• Warehouseor inventory management experience
• Familiarity with Warehousemanagementsystems (WMS) and inventory tracking software
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Communication skills to work effectively with team members and suppliers
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects andoperatematerial handling equipment (if necessary).
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
• Ability to prioritize tasks
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
