Job summary

WSL Services, Inc., based in Portland, OR, is seeking a dependable Local Non-CDL Box Truck Delivery Driver to transport products to customer locations throughout the Greater Portland area. This role emphasizes timely deliveries, customer service, and safe operation of company vehicles while supporting warehouse tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate has a valid driver’s license, at least 1 year of delivery experience, and strong time management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Minimum 1 year of delivery or commercial driving experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic math and document verification skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Forklift certification or experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company box truck on local delivery routes.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload products safely and efficiently.
• Verify load accuracy and ensure deliveries match customer invoices and shipping documents.
• Obtain delivery confirmations, signatures, and other required documentation.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service during all customer interactions.
• Maintain communication with dispatch and supervisors regarding route progress, delivery issues, or delays.
• Follow established delivery schedules while ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Keep the vehicle clean and organized.
• Assist with warehouse activities including loading, unloading, inventory movement, and general housekeeping as needed.
• Report accidents, injuries, equipment damage, or safety concerns immediately.
• Adhere to all company policies, DOT regulations, and safety procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule

• Full-time position.
• Home daily.
• Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs.
• Monday through Friday schedule, with occasional weekend work as required.
