• Serve as admitting and cross-coverage physician in central Connecticut.
• Respond to RRTs and non-ICU codes on designated units.
• Manage an average of 8 admissions per night.

Job description

Seeking a BC/BE Nocturnist to serve as an admitting and cross-coverage physician in central Connecticut.

1. There are two night shift options: 6pm-6am and 8pm-8am.
2. Only 12 shifts per month with flexible scheduling.
3. Average of 8 admissions per night, per MD.
4. Two physicians are on duty at night.
5. Cross coverage for two units.
6. The Nocturnist responds to RRTs, on their designated units, and non-ICU codes.
7. The ICU is closed with 24-hour APRN coverage.
8. If a patient needs ICU transfer, the APRN will consult and transfer the patient to the ICU.
9. No procedures are required.
10. Compensation includes salary, RVU, and quality bonuses paid quarterly.
