Overview

Excellent opportunity for a Nocturnist interested in practicing in Chicago, Illinois.

We are looking for a Nocturnist to join our team!

Responsibilities

• The physician will take admissions from the ED, consults from specialists, and transfers from other local Prime hospitals.
• We are a Comprehensive Stroke Center and the system hospital for high-risk PCI as well as Cardiothoracic surgery.
• You will work a 7 on 7 off schedule, from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM.
• You respond to RRT and Code blue (on floor patients).
• There is an in-house anesthesiologist for intubations, and the eICU physician is accessible.
• Average of 8 patients admitted at night (number may vary between call and non-call days).
• Approximately 2 RRT/Code blue responses per night.
• You cross-cover on the hospitalist service patients (approximately 54-58 patients).

Qualifications

• Board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Current Illinois Medical License - MD or DO (or in process).
• Unrestricted current DEA registration.
• Clean background.
• Team player attitude.
• ACLS certification is required.
• Procedures are not required.
