Essential Functions

1. Provide inpatient physician coverage as scheduled, in accordance with the agreement.
2. Conduct teaching sessions, lectures, and supervise residents and medical students involved in the hospital's medical education programs.
3. Assess, evaluate, and communicate with primary care physicians regarding all patients admitted to the Pediatric Department, including updates on patient conditions.
4. Coordinate with primary physicians on patient discharge to ensure proper follow-up with the patient's primary care doctor (PMD).
5. Participate in quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing pediatric patient care, including:

• Attending quality improvement meetings
• Visiting community pediatricians and family medicine physicians
• Participating in Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) meetings
• Monitoring physician documentation and Case Mix Index (CMI)
• Engaging in lab meetings and maintaining departmental communication
• Remaining part of the multidisciplinary committee to maintain the hospital's EDAP status
• Serving as a member of the Education Committee and acting as a preceptor for medical students
• Educating nursing staff through lectures and interactive modules
