Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Nocturnist to join their team in Chicago, Illinois. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a Comprehensive Stroke Center with a supportive environment. The physician will manage admissions and consults, responding to critical situations while working a balanced 7 on 7 off schedule. Ideal candidates will be board certified or eligible in Internal or Family Medicine, possess a current Illinois Medical License, and have ACLS certification. Overview

Excellent opportunity for a Nocturnist interested in practicing in Chicago, Illinois.

We are looking for a Nocturnist to join our team!

Responsibilities
  • The physician will take admissions from the ED, consults from specialists and transfers from other local Prime hospitals.
  • We are a Comprehensive Stroke Center and the system hospital for high risk PCI as well as Cardiothoracic surgery.
  • You will work a 7 on 7 off schedule, 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM.
  • You respond to RRT and Code blue (on floor patients).
  • There is an in house anesthesiologist for intubations and the eicu physician is accessible.
  • No procedures expected.
  • Average 8 patients admitted at night (the number of admits may vary from call days to non call days).
  • There are an average of 2 RRT/Code blue per night.
  • You cross cover on the hospitalist service patients (approximately 54 - 58 patients).
Qualifications
  • Board certified or Board eligible, Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Current Illinois Medical License - MD or DO (or in process)
  • Unrestricted Current DEA Registration
  • Clean background
  • Team Player
  • ACLS certification is required
  • Procedures not required
