Job summary

Symbotic is seeking a Software Support Engineer for its 24/7 NOC operations. You will monitor and support critical automation systems, troubleshoot live site issues, and collaborate with software, hardware, and systems teams.

The role includes on-call rotations, on-site MA support, and a hybrid schedule combining two on-site and two remote days. Ideal candidates have a technical degree and 2+ years in NOC or related operations, with Python, Linux, and experience in incident response, dashboards,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
2+ years in technical support, NOC, or site reliability.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills; manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

Serve as escalation point for live site operations and troubleshoot issues per severity and SLAs.
Support incident response, triage, escalation, and stakeholder communication.
Collaborate with Software, Hardware, and Systems teams to resolve production-impacting issues.
Monitor system performance, respond to alerts, and maintain high availability.
Document incidents, resolutions, and root cause findings for continuous improvement.
Identify recurring issues and work with engineering to reduce repeats and improve stability.
Support deployments with validation activities to minimize operational impact.
Develop dashboards, reports, runbooks, and training materials.
Create tools or scripts to streamline triage and incident response.
Share customer feedback to identify product and process improvements.
Mentor teammates and support onboarding with documentation and training.
Participate in 10x7 on-call rotation and on-site rotations per schedule.
