Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery. This full-time, 36-hour-per-week position involves a 1900-0730 NOC schedule with Friday, Saturday, Sunday shifts and holiday rotation.

The role emphasizes evidence-based care, patient-family engagement, and a culture of safety in a high-acuity unit. Minimum requirements include a Board-certified nursing education program graduate and active RN license with BLS; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in state(s) where RN provides care.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions and adjusts care plans with the care team.
• Promotes safety culture and maintains patient safety standards.
• Communicates effectively and delegates tasks appropriately.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units to meet patient care needs.
