Job summary

NOC CARE PARTNERS in Eugene, Oregon is seeking a Care Partner to provide compassionate personal care to residents, assist with daily living activities, and support health monitoring.

You will engage residents with companionship, help with meals, participate in life-enriching activities, and communicate with families and the Wellness Team; licensing requirements vary by state and some roles require background checks.

Qualifications

  • Will­ingness to learn and work within a team environment.
  • Good verbal communication and ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who only speak English.
  • Licensing documentation (if required by your state) and ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care: assist elders with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
  • Provide health monitoring and documentation: observe, document, and report changes in health or behavior to Wellness Team.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
  • Assist with meals and potentially assist feeding.
  • Engage in social and recreational activities to support resident well-being.
  • Communicate with residents, families, other team members, and guests.
  • Light housekeeping and maintaining general cleanliness.

What You’ll Do

As a Care Partner, you can expect a range of responsibilities and tasks. Here are some general expectations:

  • You will provide personal care: assist elders with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, possibly with walkers and wheelchairs.
  • You will provide health monitoring and documentation: observe, document, and report changes in the elder’s health or behavior to the Wellness Team.
  • You will give emotional support: may support elders dealing with loneliness, anxiety, or other emotional challenges. Engaging in conversation, active listening, and offering companionship is part of your role.
  • You will assist with Meals: help elders with meals and possibly feed elders who require additional support.
  • You will engage in social and recreational activities: supporting elders in life-enriching activities for their well-being.
  • You will connect: Communicate with elders, their families, other team members, and guests.
  • You will keep things clean: may involve light housekeeping, such as tidying up and ensuring general cleanliness.
