Job summary

CARE PARTNERS is seeking compassionate Care Partners to join our senior living team in Millstadt, IL. You will provide personal care, monitor health, offer emotional support, assist with meals, and help residents engage in activities.

We value teamwork, clear English communication, and the ability to pass background checks. Licensing documents may be required by state law, and accommodations are available as needed.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and work within a team environment.
• Good verbal communication and ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who only speak English.
• Licensing documentation (if required by your state) and ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to perform job responsibilities with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care: assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility).
• Monitor health and document changes; report to Wellness Team.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Assist with meals and possibly feed residents needing help.
• Engage residents in social and recreational activities for well-being.
• Communicate with residents, families, team members, and guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and light housekeeping as needed.

What You'll Do

As a Care Partner, you can expect a range of responsibilities and tasks. Here are some general expectations:

• You will provide personal care: assist elders with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, possibly with walkers and wheelchairs.
• You will provide health monitoring and documentation: observe, document, and report changes in the elder's health or behavior to the Wellness Team.
• You will give emotional support: may support elders dealing with loneliness, anxiety, or other emotional challenges. Engaging in conversation, active listening, and offering companionship is part of your role.
• You will assist with Meals: help elders with meals and possibly feed elders who require additional support.
• You will engage in social and recreational activities: supporting elders in life-enriching activities for their well-being.
• You will connect: Communicate with elders, their families, other team members, and guests.
• You will keep things clean: may involve light housekeeping, such as tidying up and ensuring general cleanliness.
