Qualifications

  • 3-5 years in Tier 3 or Support Engineering NOC role, preferably in a service provider.
  • Hands-on with LAN/WAN, routing/switching, and Wi-Fi networks; Linux server health monitoring.
  • Knowledge of RADIUS, DNS, firewall, packet captures, VPN, VLAN, TCP/IP.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage standard tools to monitor availability and performance of server and network infrastructure.
  • Respond to alerts and classify/triage issues; document and escalate as needed.
  • Diagnose network quality and outages remotely and apply fixes.
  • Create/update trouble tickets and track status to resolution.
  • Meet quarterly uptime and performance targets through timely responses.
