Position Overview

A Server position is available at NOBU Lāna’i at Four Seasons Resort Lāna’i. The role focuses on delivering exceptional dining service and enhancing the guest experience.

Location

Four Seasons Resort Lāna’i, Lāna’i Island, Hawaii.

What You’ll Do

• Anticipate guest needs, assess satisfaction, and offer suggestions, responding promptly to guest concerns and requests.
• Welcome guests and provide attentive service throughout the dining experience while collaborating with the restaurant team and support staff.
• Introduce guests to the restaurant, guiding them through menu offerings, explaining the concept, services, and daily specials; provide water service and ensure tables are properly set.
• Describe and guide guests through food and beverage selections with detailed explanations of ingredients, flavor profiles, origins, and preparation methods.
• Accurately enter guest orders and special requests into the point‑of‑sale system; coordinate with the kitchen to ensure proper timing of courses and verify dish accuracy and dietary requirements.
• Maintain guest satisfaction by promptly clearing used items, resetting tables, and providing thoughtful recommendations.
• Respond to guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests courteously and professionally.
• Close guest checks accurately by processing cash and credit card transactions and handling adjustments, voids, or complimentary items per procedures.
• Perform setup, breakdown, and cleaning of tables and service stations in accordance with restaurant standards.

What To Bring

• Legal work authorization in the United States.
• Availability to work seven days a week, 24 hours a day, including holidays and weekends.
• Required Hawaii State Department of Health TB clearance card and Hawaii Food Handler’s Card.
• Maui Liquor Card is preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a guest‑focused mindset, effective upselling, and keen attention to detail.
