Job summary

Four Seasons in Lanai City seeks a Beach Attendant to provide excellent guest service on the beach. Responsibilities include welcoming guests, setting up beach areas, and ensuring cleanliness and comfort throughout the day.

The ideal candidate must have legal work authorization in the U.S. and relevant health certification. This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $21.72 and additional benefits.

Job description

Located on the southeastern coast of the pristine island of Lāna’i, Four Seasons Resort Lāna’i is an oceanfront five‑star destination offering a curated, personalized island escape. The resort includes Nobu Lāna’i, a kids club, tennis courts, cultural programming, beach and pool areas, the Hawanawana spa, and a luxury retail boutique.

Position: Beach Attendant

Work authorization required.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome guests with a beach orientation, communicating available services, activities, and current water and safety conditions.
• Set up, arrange, and reset guest seating, including chairs, tables, umbrellas, and towels, ensuring comfort, cleanliness, and proper presentation.
• Provide and replenish amenities such as water, ice, menus, sunscreen, food and beverage options, and activity recommendations.
• Accurately enter guest details into the reservation system and deliver water and ice once guests are seated.
• Anticipate guest needs by adjusting umbrellas, checking guest satisfaction, removing used linens or trash, and maintaining clean beach areas throughout service.
• Clean and reset beach areas after guest departure, including removal and repositioning of furniture and equipment.
• Provide menu assistance and knowledgeable recommendations, responding promptly and professionally to guest requests or concerns.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menus, ingredients, daily availability, and recreational offerings, recognizing returning guests to deliver personalized service.
• Conduct pre‑opening checks and ongoing maintenance to ensure all beach areas meet cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Assist with lifting, transporting, and storing supplies, linens, towel bins, and equipment to support seamless operations.
• Perform setup, breakdown, and cleaning of beach furniture, towel stations, and service areas.
• Safely operate a golf cart to transport guests and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner.

What To Bring

• Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States.
• The hospitality business operates seven (7) days a week, twenty‑four (24) hours a day; holidays and weekends availability is required.
• Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card.
• Hawaii Food Handler's Card is required for this role.
• Maui Liquor Card is preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 75 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts.
• Customer service–oriented professional with strong attention to detail, ability to stay organized and composed in high‑paced, high‑volume environments, and physical capability to transport towels, chairs, umbrellas, large towel bins, and soiled linens, including safely operating a golf cart.
