Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Plastic Surgeon to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. The role focuses on non-call wound care with steady, high-volume income and no overhead of running a practice.

You will perform debridement and bedside procedures, evaluate chronic wounds, and collaborate with facility staff. A medical degree and unrestricted license in Alabama are required; training in wound care is provided.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one).
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one.
• Open Background: We welcome Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and surgeons of all backgrounds, as well as Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians. No previous wound care experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training.

Responsibilities

• Surgical and sharp debridement and bedside procedures.
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds, including pressure injuries.
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols.
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing
