Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Plastic Surgeon to lead wound care initiatives across skilled nursing facilities. The role offers flexible full-time or part-time arrangements with a no-call schedule and potential for per-patient and per-procedure pay, plus quarterly bonuses.

You will manage wound healing, debridement, and bedside procedures, with a focus on steady income and autonomy, while avoiding overhead of running a practice. MD or DO license required with state licensure.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Unrestricted medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility).
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• No prior wound care experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Surgical debridement and bedside procedures.
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds.
• Advanced dressings and wound protocols.
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings.
